Релиз получил название "The Day Is My Enemy", которое полностью соответствует духу нестареющего и всегда актуального в России коллектива! Название альбома и одноимённой заглавной композиции было взято из строчек песни Коула Портера All Through The Night, которая начинается со слов "The day is my enemy, The night my friend". В диск войдёт 14 композиций. Для записи двух из них музыканты позвали популярного dubstep-артиста Flux Pavilion и post-punk проект Sleaford Mods. Группа The Prodigy была образована в 1990 году. За время своего существования коллектив выпустил пять студийных альбомов, один из которых - The Fat of the Land - стал символом 1990-х. Последний на сегодняшний день альбом группы вышел в 2009 году - пластинка Invaders Must Die заняла первые места в различных британских и российских чартах. В начале месяца флагманы боевого биг-бита представили на YouTube первую за шесть лет песню вместе с клипом. Называется трек Nasty. Он сразу настроил поклонников на оптимистический лад - и композиция, и видео ясно дали понять: The Prodigy вернулись и готовы дать жару, чтобы расшевелить закемарившую брейкбитовую сцену. На этот раз поклонников бронебойной электроники порадовали заглавным треком из нового альбома, и он только укрепляет уверенность в том, что пластинка, которая появится на прилавках музыкальных магазинов 30 марта, получится отменной. Суровый бит в сочетании с мрачной атмосферой и фирменным звучанием группы не оставит равнодушным даже истосковавшихся по настоящим хитам любителей EBM. Здесь нет нелепых заигрываний с унылой конъюнктурой, зато есть здоровые эксперименты - даже внезапно появившаяся "восьмибитка" звучит уместно и бодро. Две из 14 песен нового альбома подтверждают заявление музыкантов: шестой "студийник" The Prodigy станет особенно агрессивным и "качающим" даже на фоне их легендарных брутальных боевиков. И это очень радует. Дмитрий Сосновский, российская газетав декабрьском интервью London Evening Standard идеолог коллектива Лиэм Хаулетт назвал пластинку "садистской по звучанию" и пообещал вытереть ноги о современную танцевальную музыку с ее культом диджеев."Если современная танцевальная сцена строится вокруг диджеев, нам плевать на это, - сообщил Хаулетт. - Мы вообще в другой лиге. Мы делаем музыку по своим правилам. И у нас собственная зона комфорта. Конечно, кое-кто из диджеев нам нравится, но строить вокруг них всю электронную сцену - это нездоровый момент. Мы хотели бы видеть больше групп, играющих такую музыку". На пластинке "The Day Is My Enemy" будут изданы совместные треки с диджеем и продюсером Flux Pavilion ("Rhythm Bomb") и пост-панк-рэперским дуэтом Sleaford Mods ("Ibiza").
